Circulation of library materials.

The library has a selection of adult, young adult and juvenile fiction and non-fiction materials, books on cassette & compact disc, video cassettes, DVDs, and compact discs.

Library Card Owner's Responsibilities.

  • Library cards can be issued to patrons who are in kindergarten or older.
  • Patrons must have a photo ID and proof of current address when applying for a library card.  Youth in 6th grade or below must have a parent signature in order to obtain a library card Limit of three (3) items per check-out for first thirty (30) days for new patrons.
  • If a card is lost or stolen, notify the Library at once.  The card owner is responsible for all materials checked out on the card until a loss is reported.  Proper identification is required to check out materials without a card.

Renewals
Books and other materials may be renewed by phone, at the Circulation Desk or via the website.  New videos and DVDs may be renewed if they are not on hold for someone else.

Fines
The library is fine free.

Damaged and Lost Material
One half the cost of the item is charged for damaged materials. Overdue items are sent to lost after 1 month. Item fees (excluding collection fees) are waived once an item is returned. Patrons are responsible for replacement cost for lost items. A $10.00 collection fee will be added to the account.

Photocopiers available. A black and white copier and digital color copier with document scanning are available for public use. Donations are accepted in lieu of a fee.

Facsimile. A fax machine is available for sending and receiving faxed messages. The fax number is (440) 964-6701. Donations are accepted in lieu of a fee.

No delivery services

Internet/Computer access. There are computers (Microsoft Operating Systems) available for public use. These computers provide access to the internet through OPLIN (Ohio Public Library Information Network). The computers can also be used for word processing, writing resumes, desk top publishing and more. There are printers available for use.


Homebound/Outreach service. An outreach coordinator will visit patrons who are unable to visit the library on their own. Delivery, pick-up and selection of library material is provided by the Outreach Coordinator. For those with special needs, large print books and books on tape and audio compact disc are available.

Community Meeting Room. A meeting room is available for nonprofit community groups to use. Reservations may be made by calling the library.

Book Discussion Group A book discussion group meets the last Wednesday at noon of each month to discuss a selected book. Contact the library to find out what the book is for this month.

Programs. The library offers a wide variety of programming throughout the year.

Other services. Voter registration, Golden Buckeye Card applications, and Ohio Kids Card applications, flu shots in the fall, Senior Citizen Tax assistance program in late winter/early spring, Tax Forms, Reference, Toys to Go, and notary services (call for availability of notary).

Children’s Programs. Children's programming is available throughout the year. Please check with the library.
