Local author Kate March will be at the Harbor-Topky Memorial Library on Friday, November 9th, 2012 at 2:00PM.    Kate has been an avid reader and writer since the age of six.  As an adult, she spent thirty two years in elementary classrooms as a teacher and reading specialist.  She was a Chapter I Coordinator for Ravenna City Schools in Ravenna, Ohio, and an instructor at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, as well as adjunct professor at KSUA in Ashtabula, Ohio for nine years. She received her Bachelor’s Degree at Edinboro University in Edinboro, Pennsylvania, and her Master’s and Doctorate Degrees at Kent State.

Her most recent title “Finding Pearl Harbor”  is fiction, but the events of World War II are carefully interwoven into the story.  It is the children’s task to come to terms with them in a world where they think “nobody ever tells you anything.”
